For over 100 years, The Shamrock has presided majestically over the heart of Bendigo. Its five stories of grandeur offer entertainment, great dining and accommodation in the true 'Spirit of Bendigo'.
While the exterior and the great dimensions of the public rooms are pure 19th century, there is a distinctively Australian feel to its wide encircling verandah - an ideal spot to watch the sunset and enjoy a pre-dinner drink.
The Victorian Wine Room on the 1st floor offers a traditional dining experience in classical style, featuring exceptional food, wine and service. Head Chef Eddie Basich's menu features fresh local produce combined with some fantastic Mediterranean style fare and some of the old favourites, such as, kangaroo fillets wrapped in prosciutto with kipfler potatoes and a pink peppercorn sauce, or Bendigo's best eye fillet steak.
Enjoy a glass, or a bottle of wine from the extensive wine list, featuring great wines from both the Bendigo region and further afield, while sitting on the balcony overlooking some of Bendigo's most historic buildings.
