About Vines of Red Hill

Vines of Red Hill is a beautiful country restaurant that reveals itself a little at a time. Invisible from Red Hill Road, it sits down from the brow of the hill, shaded by ancient Angophora trees; it is reached by a path that winds its way through lavishly planted gardens.

The restaurant has an air of spaciousness and elegant simplicity featuring the works of local artists. Clothed tables and large expansive windows open onto a north-facing dinning terrace which captures artful snapshots of vines and gardens. During the cooler months an open log fire sets the mood.
 
For a more private experience, our Tower Dining room can accommodate up to 12 people for a special occasion or intimate dinner party.
 
Chef James Redfern’s firm and passionate belief that regions need to promote and retain their unique individuality is what drives his cuisine.
 
All of his ingredients are sourced or especially grown from the growing community of local artisan producers. Farm house cheese, berries, fruit and vegetables to sparkling fresh wild fish from the local bays are some of the local gems that feature regularly in his menu creations.
 
While you're there, a trip to the cellar door is a must, where you can sample the estate's wines, including an interesting cold-climate Gewurztraminer.
