Toofey's has been a Carlton institution, serving exquisite seafood for more than 15 years. In August 2007 it became Esposito @ Toofeys, when experienced Melbourne chef Maurice Esposito took over the business where he’d had his first Head Chef role in 1998. He has since put his particular stamp on it and turned it into one of the most highly regarded seafood restaurants in Melbourne.
Maurice has created a restaurant that focuses on the freshest, sustainable seafoods available and locally sourced meats, bringing to the menu his classic French training, Italian heritage, twenty years of running some of Melbourne’s best restaurants (Stokehouse, Sarti and Il Bacaro) and love and knowledge of impeccable product.
With that experience, Maurice Esposito has evolved his own unique style of cooking. His love of seafood and shellfish is evident in the menu, but it now also includes Esposito’s signature Italian dishes.
